50,000 Trips and 800,000km after 7 years - I am still driving and new service launching soon !

When I started driving Uber in August 2015 due to a need to pay for the cost of having a car ( after I scrapped my 10 year old Peugeot 308sw ) I did not expect to last more than a year. In fact the first car I rented, a 15 year old Toyota Vios was so comfortable as it's car seat lacks lamber back support that I stopped driving only after two weeks as it gave me back sore after few hours of driving. I returned the rental car and did not thought of driving for the next 6 months. However, after trying to go around in public transport and walking for 6 months I realised that i belong to the group of people who needs a car as I want the freedom of jumping into a car anytime and go anywhere whenever I need. Given that to buy a car requires significant cash downpayment, I opted to take up the offer from LCR, the rental arm of Uber in March 2016 and took up a one year rental of a relatively new Toyota Altis ( 2015 ). The Altis had a much better car seat and it gave me the support to drive hours daily since then. Now 7.5 years, 50,000 competed trips and 800,000km later I have proved that PHV driving is a good source of income as well as a great way to meet nice people in Sinagpore. Recent months I have been thinking about expanding my service to the public beyond just transporting them from point A to B. For example, after taking 3,000 photos of my riders I know i can take nice portraits of people so I plan to launch my portrait photography service this month. Also from time to time I spoke to riders who told me that they are looking for property for stay or invest so I have started offering my service as a licensed property agent. Having travelled 800,000km around Singapore means there is hardly any part of Singapore that i have not been. This gives me an unique advantage as I can explain to clients the surroundings of everywhere from my experiences. In addition, there are still many aspects of property market that is still untouched by existing players like pocket listing and DIY platform for owners. My educational background in computer engineering also means that I can provide unique IT services to consumers and small businesses. It looks like I am a jack of many trades and I want to be master of those that me and my team are providing.
